Ceremonial Scepter - Ritualistic Temple Item

This antique scepter came from the private temple of an Austrian occultist in elder age (at age 92) and entered our temple in 2023 where it has remained in active ritual possession since. In our work it has been treated as a Naga‑aligned serpent scepter.

Serpent and Naga currents intersect across many traditions - viz. wisdom and venom, healing and danger, underworld access and the warding of thresholds. This scepter has been used specifically in that liminal zone - where a guardianship can be protective and testing. It is well suited for practitioners who already work with serpent, Naga, chthonic, or underworld powers, or who want a clear ritual object to embody the act of speaking and acting “with the serpent in hand."

Note: The staff originally hails from Southeast Asia (late 1950’s). Prior to my purchase, this scepter was actually used as a sort of effigy - it was placed within a black mortar cylinder as a sort of focal point of practice. There are faint remnants of mortar leftover from this history - but it can be used effectively as a hand-held scepter or can be mortared again into a new base.
